As I write this story of my life, I started with me. I was born on January 16, 1989 in Reno, Nevada. I grew up in a military family. I had 4 siblings: two brothers and two sisters. I got into sin. I was saved from that. I went to Moody Bible Institute. I [insert action here]...
Yet how easily we forget that this life we live is so much greater than ourselves. Solomon said in Ecclesiastes 3:11 - "He [God] has made everything beautiful [appropriate] in its time. He [God] has also set eternity in their [man's] heart, yet so that [or, without which] man will not find out the work which God has done from the beginning even to the end." There is a story of eternity in our hearts. God's plan and work started in the beginning and plays until the end. We are mere supporting characters within the story. We can choose to write a separate story dependent upon ourselves and our lives. Or we can choose to allow God to be the main character.
So that instead of saying, I was born... I can now say:
God gave me life and brought me into HIS story on January 16, 1989 in Reno, Nevada. God entrusted my life to Anthony and Avilla Yallum along with Joanne, Tony, Michelle, and Adam Yallum. As a result of the Fall, the inclination for sin was passed down and sin was innately a part of my being. But God, being merciful and knowing the condition of man's depravity, longed to reconcile His creation to Himself. So 2,000 years ago, God set His Son to die, so that He could reconcile that relationship with me. So in 2003, in no merit of my own, the Holy Spirit opened my eyes to truth and brought me into a relationship with God in my belief.
